RARE PORTRAIT. 19-1/2 x 13-1/2 cm. (7.7 x 5.3 inches). Engraved portrait. Fine. Dessine et grave par F. Girard. Imprime par Alfred Chardon Jeune Paris, Rue Racine, 3. (c1852). - - - Depicted from waist up and slight left profile, the famous authoress appears to be in her thirties. Her hair is braided with flowers to each side of the head, a shawl or fur piece running over left shoulder and across chest. Serious of demeanor, she seems to be on the verge of a slight smile.
