Beautiful blue velvet cover hardback edition housed in its original matching blue slip case. The slip case does have some spots along with shelf wear on the front cover but it has protected the book itself nicely. Some slight foxing on the front end paper and page edges of the book. The remainder of the interior is flawless. 56 double-leaved pages. Decorated with gold-stamped Kiddush Goblet motif. Illustrated and executed by Arthur Szyk and edited by Cecil Roth. Inside of front and back board illustrated with b/w reproduction of a drawing by Szyk. Beautiful color frontispiece along with many color heavily embellished illustrations throughout. Does have a gift inscription on front title page. Text in English and Hebrew. This edition is renowned for its luxurious presentation. Red velvet covers with embossed and colored thick plastic overlays to front and rear covers, pages printed in accordion style with blank sides bound back to back.
