Beautifully engraved stock certificate from the Gulf States Utilities Company, for 100 common stock shares, issued on June 23, 1947. A scarce stock certificate. Hand signed and with embossed seal, punch cancelled. Printed by the American Banknote Company, the 8" x 12" certificate has an ornate border around it with a wonderful vignette of a mother and child. Reverse contains an assignment dated June 25, 1947. In Very Good condition, with the usual tri-fold and just minor tip bends at a few corners.
