First edition, second issue, with frontispiece by John Sartain, 12 engraved plates, numerous inter-text engraved vignettes, and fold-out map. From the library of Richard Watson Gilder, with his bookplate on the front endpaper. Gilder was the longtime editor of the "Century Magazine."
