About this Item
This 7.00 x 10.5, 58 page book is one of the Friends of the Bancroft Libraries publications, designed and printed by Lawton and Alfred Kennedy. The paper covering shows edge wear and there is some light offsetting to the back cover, perhaps from some item laid onto the cover and exposed to sunlight. Overall the cover and entire item is in better than very good condition. There is some penciled price notations and indexing on the ffep. Beyond that the text is in near fine or better condition. The text deals with the case of a mining incident in Nevada and Twain's newspaper reporting on that. There are three different scenario's presented along with the reprinting of Twain's Chapter 34 of his famous work - - Roughing It. This item does include the fold-out sheet affixed to the back cover and displaying the re-printed front page of San Francisco's Daily Morning Call newspaper from 1863. 58 pages.
