A very good copy in a very good dust jacket for its age of this rare American children's story about a 'giant' collie. Dust Jacket: colour pictorial paper with colour image of collie dog and yellow and white lettering to front and spine and red and black advertising material on a white ground to rear; in very good condition for its age; clean and bright with very little spine fading; some rubbing and chipping to all edges commensurate with age and use but little or no loss; not price clipped (now protected). Cover: pale blue cloth covered boards with black image of collie dogs to front and black lettering to spine; very clean and bright with only the slightest rubbing an darkening to all edges, a few small white marks to bottom fore-corner of front; overall in very good condition for its age. Internally: very clean and tightly bound; no markings, inscriptions or book plates; top edges coloured ( a couple of white marks), other edges slightly darkened; black and white pictorial paste-downs and end papers.
