Published by Faber and Faber of London in 1944. Hardcover. 1st published in 1943 by the Golden Cockerel Press and limited to 500 copies. This edition is published the year after and is still sought after. Book condition: Fair to good. Yellow cloth boards with gilt titles to spine and gilt Babylonian motif to front board. Title on spine in on a red background. The boards have seen better days. Heavy wear and yellow boards are worn and the colour has faded. See photograph for condition. The spine has been affected by exposure to sunlight. Internally the books is in a very good order. Book has maps and fold out maps with many photographs. See photograph. Dims: 225mm x 150mm x 18mm. 224 pages. Book tells the story in the author's own words about The British Expedition, 'Kingcol' which went from the Mediterranean coast in what is now Israel to capture Bagdad in 1941, during World War Two.
