About this Item
The first book by the author of the Abbey School series. Early reprint in red cloth with colour onlays, similar in appearance to the first edition of 1907. Goblin Island is set on 'Loch Avie', a fictionalised Loch Lomond and is the first of E. J. Oxenham's Scottish Sequence. Front hinge cracked, prize inscription (1908-1909) on second page and picture on spine rubbed. Cloth and contents bright and clean but a little foxing to first few pages. Contents otherwise very good. Colour frontis, title page and one other plate by T.H.Robinson. Endpapers by A.A.Dixon. Seller Inventory # 004088
