A beautifully-preserved copy of this "first Dutch profane epic of the eighteenth century," brown leather spine with five raised bands, red title band, and gold-tooling, leather corners, marbled covers, illustrated title page is printed in red and black, the top one-eight inch of the spine is chipped away, that is the only significant flaw to this copy, there is minor wear to the corners and an inscription in pencil on the front end-paper that we have not erased due to possible historical interest, the binding is tight and square, very clean inside and out, the pages are clean and crisp with some light tanning to some of the pages, no foxing or soiling, Title translates to: Cases of Friso, King of the Ganga and Prasiaten Riden, text is in Dutch.
