Large albumen elevated street view of the street, with electrical poles on the near side, many horse drawn carriages in the road, pedestrians along the bustling sidewalks, and hotels and shops, including the Coffee Palace Hotel, and F. Lassetter's. Henry King (1855?-1923) was a successful New South Wales photographer with studios in George Street, known for his Aboriginal portraits, popular scenic views, and Sydney street scenes. He made his living doing portraiture, but is best known for the high quality of his outdoor and city views. Titled in the print, 339. George St., Sydney. H. King. 6 cx 7 3/4".
