About the Author

İsmail Hakkı Altaş is a professor at the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Karadeniz Technical University, T�rkiye. He obtained his PhD degree from the University of New Brunswick, Canada. He is a Senior member of the IEEE and member of the IEEE Power & Energy, Industrial Electronics, Industry Applications, Power Electronics, Control Systems and Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Societies. His research interests include intelligent control of power systems, utilization of renewable energy and electrical microgrids.
