1st Illustrated - Turqoise cloth pictorial boards with attractive full color of a piper on the front (same illustration as the tissued guarded frontispiece) by famous illustrator Helen Maitland Armstrong. 10 other beautiful color plates inside. This is the first illustrated edition. Collection of stories for children set in a place called Franconia, in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Stamped Titilng on spine and front cover is slighty faded (picture on front is crisp and clear). Book is tight, square and free of all markings inside.
