Run of 22 vols only, Vol. 1 - 23, lacking Vol 3. and Vols. 24 to 28. 8vo. red clothbound hardbacks, with ornate gilt and black decorations and embossing to spines and upper boards. Each volume has 32 tinted full page illustrations by Finch Mason and R. M. Alexander. Occasional light foxing. Some wear and rubbing to covers with some spines more faded than others - please see photograph. Overall a Good Set. Hardcover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. A great collection of sporting stories with 32 tinted lithograph plates, after Finch Mason and others. 304 pages plus a 30 page illustrated Fores Catalogue. Bound in red cloth with blindstamped rear cover and elaborate decorated front cover, all edges gilt. Overall good condition, some general wear to covers and the backstrip has been reattached at the rear joint, front joint splitting a bit, otherwise binding sound. Pages clean, no marks or inscriptions, foxing to first few pages only, bookplate of R H Holmes a Court to front pastedown. Seller Inventory # 000280
