Flower Fairies of the Summer. Written and illustrated by Cicely Mary Barker. Published by Blackie and Sons . Undated but probably 1950's. Size: 5 1/2 x 4 1/4. A hardcover book with grey-brown boards, black tiles and a paste down image of The Convolvolus Fairy on the front. The jacket is pale yellow and is decorated with an image of The Thistle Fairy. Condition of book: Very good. The boards are very clean, the corners hardly rubbed (just a little wear to the top of the spine) and the image on the front absolutely unmarked. There are very small white dots on the back board. The pages are clean and un-thumbed. The first few pages are a little foxed A previous owners name is written in pen on the first title page. There is a book shop sticker on the end paper. Condition of wrapper: Very Good. It is complete; just a little loss to the top of the spine, general wear, and a tear on the front about 1/2 inch long. The reverse is foxed but this does not affect the front. Clear tape has been used to reinforced the top of the spine and the tear along the top edge. Faint pencil marks on the back of the cover show where the previous owner has marked from a list those books that she owns. Seller Inventory # 000279
