INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY AUTHOR. First Ed, unstated. Very Good+ in Good DJ: Book shows indications of light use; just a touch of wear to the extremities; slightest spine lean; tiny ding at the bottom edge of the front panel; foxing at the top edge and a little faint thumbing at the fore-edge; binding secure; text clean. DJ shows wear to the lower extremities; several short, closed tears; mild rubbing; faint but pervasive soiling; mylar-protected. Overall, remains a clean, sturdy copy in a lightly worn DJ. NOT a Remainder, Book-Club, or Ex-Library. 8vo. 483pp. Hardback with DJ. Well written comprehensive study of Florida's Peace River Valley and its people from 1800 to 1900. If you have family who were in Florida from around the early 1800's, they are probably named in this book. I personally found ties to over 6 famlies mentioned, and several references to my Great Great Grandfathers on both my fathers side and my mothers side of the family. I also enjoyed Mr. Browns vivid description of life in early Florida, he made me feel as if I had been here during those days, and I can better understand the hardships endured by my ancestors! I will keep this book forever and will read it many times over. It's hard to put it down. INSCRIBED AND SIGNED BY AUTHOR. Bookseller Inventory # 35100
