About this Item
Early 1900's advertising card from the 'Flags of All Nations Series'. Sweet Caporal is one of the oldest cigarette brands; originally produced in the US by Kinney Bros. Tobacco Co. of New York (1878); it was registered in Canada in 1887 and is still in existence today. The card is divided in half, with the top half showing a modified flag (5 white stars on a blue ground) under the title 'Victoria', with Victoria Falls below. Text on the verso reads 'All tobacco, No paper, Not a cigarette, Flags of all Nations Series'. Color lithograph, 1 1/2 x 2 5/8". Slightly marked at upper left corner, o/w very good.
