Exquisite binding by Riviere & Son in full dark green/black morocco with gilt ruled border and double ruled gilt frame with fleurons to the corners, 5 raised bands, gilt spine titles with gilt-stamped embellishments in the panels, all edges gilt over red stain. Small, square, gilt-stamped leather bookplate of Robert Hoe to front pastedown [most likely Robert Hoe III, 1839-1909, producer of printing press equipment, first President of the Grolier Club, and an extensive collector of rare books and manuscripts]. Engraved bookplate of Robert Otis Hayward to front free endpaper [member of the Yale Club of NY, Society of Mayflower Descendants, editor of The Bulletin of the Author's League of America, and book collector specializing in Americana and early English literature]. Engraved frontispiece, title-page with square of fleurons, register R3 signed K3, B2 is correct and not missigned in this issue, A2, line 22 has "Teucer", running title reads: The life and raigne of K.
