The appendix identifies the book as the second edtion by including updated war losses as of June 15, 1942 (thus the losses at Midway are included). Diagrammatic drawings are included for aircraft carrier interior, flight deck section, interior of submarines, hull bulges or blister, depth charge Y gun, battleship sections, mines, paravanes, torpedos, cross section of turret, fleet formations, and methods of aerial attack. Blue cloth binding is very good, no bumps or edge wear, just somewhat loss of color from age, page edges tanned, and insides of covers are browning. Text is clean and tight, no marks except for ink spot on one page that does not touch text. Previous owner's stamp and ink signature on inside front cover, and first white page.
