Zeitlin (1902-1987), one of the most important booksellers in Los Angeles history, is known for developing the rare book field of history of science, for testifying at the California Supreme Court in the obscenity trial of Henry MillerÕs Tropic of Cancer, and for being one of the first people to exhibit the works of Paul Landacre and Edward Weston, and the first in America to exhibit the works of German artist K the Kollwitz. He was the founder of the Primavera Press and the co-founder of the Rounce and Coffin Club. He helpped form numerous important library collections and mentored a number of booksellers and other book people in the L.A. area over the course of his long career. 6" x 4 1/2".
