This 1954 book features famous American Indian tribes and is illustrated William Moyers. The book itself is in remarkably good condition for the printing style used for children's books at the time. The hard glossy paper covering is still in better than very good condition with the corners all but in like new condition. The spine crown and foot show just a bit of chipping to the covering and on the back bottom of the spine there is one missing piece of covering of about a quarter inch. On the spine itself shows one very small chip of about one-eighth inch. The book shows that a previous owner has filled in the provided bookplate with a name and address, but beyond that the interior of the book is of near fine construct with only some modest browning to the edges of the cheaper paper used. The colors in the illustrations are vivid and attractive and the book shows pictures of American Indians hunting and fighting and also shows the design and construction of their lodges and artwork. The book features several Indian personalities as Red Cloud of the Plains Sioux. All in all this is a very nice edition and its illustrations are striking. 64 pages. Seller Inventory # 1505-217
