Danieli (Vija Celmins, Tony DeLap), John Coplans (Robert Irwin); Jane Livingston (Craig Kauffman), and Barbara Rose (Richard Smith). the illustration accompanying "Robert Irwin" is a photograph of the artists, who did not allow photography of his work at that time. The scanned illustrations are by DeLap, Kauffman, and Celmins. John Coplans was director of the university gallery in 1968 and was responsible for this and several other significant exhibitions and catalogues, including "Five Los Angeles sculptors and sculptors' drawings" and "Abstract Expressionist ceramics" (both 1966).
