About this Item

Very Good+. "This publication is meant as a tribute to the extraordinary style of a number of objects created in Italy between 1930 and 1940, from which is drawn the inspiration for the design of the new Bvlgari watch, Rettangold."--Paolo Bulgari, Introduction. 14 monochrome plates, followed by descriptions of the 14 designs (aeroplanes, motor cars, boats, trains) and an article "Designing Records: Industrial design in Italy from 1930 to 1940" by Guiseppe Chigiotti. Translated from the Italian by Chistopher Hugh Evans. The book itself is wonderfully designed, with the text block attached to the lower board only. Silver covers with silver titling on front and spine. Covers show light rubbing, a few dimples, mild indentations at front right center edge, mild rubbing at corners, light scuffing on rear. Interior is clean, crisp, tight & bright, unmarked. Unpaginated [48 pp.] Approx. 9.75" x 14.75". Carefully shipped in secure parcel. Ask all other questions; glad to respond.
