Modern English translation of Harvey's groundbreaking work on the circulation of blood, first translated by Leake in 1928 and here in its fifth edition thus. Leake's preface for the fifth edition notes the expense of rewriting the book or its notes, intended as an inexpensive edition for strudents, so he settles on comments on scholarly work on Harvey since the first publication of his translation. Prefaces to the earlier editions, included, perform a similar task. Paperback, as pictured. Light wear, minor creasing, one corner bumped, spine faded.
