Ex-library inscriptions from Forbes Library of Northampton, Massachusetts on spine, along with bookplate and other library markings. Cracking to hinges at front and back of book. Filled with numerous black-and-white plates throughout. General age-related toning to pages, along with periodic foxing and wear. Please see photographs and ask any questions prior to purchasing. A rather scarce piece on physiognomy, or the study of humans based on their facial compositions and expressions.
