Oftmals wurde »Das abenteuerliche Herz« auch als Wendepunkt im literarischen Schaffen Jüngers gewertet: War er zuvor der Kriegsschriftsteller, so nun Literat. Einer solchen Einschätzung leistete auch die Überarbeitung Vorschub: 63 zumeist kürzere Prosastücke blieben übrig, in denen Jünger seine eigene Poetologie ebenso darlegt und erprobt, wobei er von einer Beobachtung ausgehend zu seiner (Welt-)Anschauung, seinem Denken vordringt. 500 pp. Deutsch.
