Modern professional re-binding, 1/4 leather and marbled boards. A complete copy of the main work (all first editions), without the supplements. There is a little foxing, as usual, mainly confined to the text; only in Vol 13 are the plates seriously affected. About 10 plates in Vol. 1 are somewhat stained and there are a few minor stains elsewhere. Royal College of Surgeons of England stamps on title pages , together with "Sold by order of President and Council of RCSoE" stamp on obverse of titles. Some offsetting on a few plates. In general, a very good set. Full title: "English Botany; or coloured figures of British Plants, with 2592 hand-coloured engraved plates" 36 vols (bound as 18).
