About this Item

Size of mounting leaf: 5 3/4" x 7 3/4"; size of machine-cut, embossed & color-printed image: 2 1/2" x 4 1/2". A standing figure of an oriental woman in Chinese (?) dress, playing an instrument, with container of scrolls, bird attached to her belt. Paper doll figure "sticker". This has been pasted to an album or scapbook page. Album page shows some scattered tan spotting, some pencil outlining is visible around the image, with light pencil mark across right hand. Suitable for framing (piece can also be removed from paper backing, by a paper conservator). Many of these pieces were produced in Germany & elsewhere in the 19th century. This is a genuine 19th century color printed "sticker", with embossed details, not a reproduction. See scan. Sold as an example of color printing only. Seller Inventory # ABE-195294618
