Reprint of the Plantin edition of 1565. No. 68 of 100 copies on Hollande Van Gelder paper. Armorial bookplate of Ponsonby Sullivan. 62 woodcuts. This copy is solid and has been especially bound in full calf, gilt and blind patterned, five raised bands. Has a gilt line along all of the narrow edges. Sewn silk head and tail bands. The binding is signed, on one corner of the rear of the front board, with Taylor inside a Z. Z for Zaehnsdorf perhaps. In its original brown cloth slipcase, which also has no wear.
