About this Item

NEW/FINE. Large, black cloth boards, silver titling spine and cover. LIMITED EDITION of 200 copies. With the vibrance and energy of a shooting star, Richmond, with his wife Carolynn King Richmond established The MicroSociety School Consortium in 1991, publishing the MicroSociety Handbook. Richmond established the teaching methodology of microsociety learning enviornments, enabling students to apply classroom knowledge to real world settings, for example, starting a business, making laws, and paying bills, etc. Practical engagement in whatever field or skill being practiced. Richmond - also a painter and poet - suffered from early Parkinson's disease, writing this homage to his wife Carolynn in particular and love in general in 2004 before succumbing to cancer in 2005. He left a mark in education and a memento of his inner grandeur in this rare - nearly unavailable - book expressing his passion and dedication and love. Large book. USA delivery media mail only.
