"New and revised edition entirely rewritten" (as stated upon title page). vi, 186 pages. Hardcover: H 21.5cm x L 14.25cm. Lacks dust jacket. Dark green cloth mottled, spine cloth additionally faded with gilt stamped lettering at head quite dulled and difficult to discern. Edges toned with some soiling; foxing and light toning to endpapers; past owner's ink inscription upon front pastedown; some scattered soiling to interior pages. Binding is firm. A good copy. The University of Pennsylvania awarded its first Ph.D. in Mathematics to Edwin S. Crawley in 1892 and he was appointed chairman of the Department of Mathematics in 1899. ELEMENTS OF PLANE AND SPHERICAL TRIGONOMETRY was first published by J.B. Lippincott in 1890.
