About this Item
A tri-fold informational pamphlet on how to participate in the the noncompetitive hunting sport of duck netting. Exclusive to Japan, duck netting is a sport consisting of ten 'players', including a 'Master of the Hunt'. The players work to both startle a duck and swing a large net at the same time in order to ensnare the duck. The pamphlet includes three (3) printed photographs of duck hunting and one instructional diagram on the positions of the different players. The last line of the pamphlet instructs the reader that "under any circumstance, no one must step on to the bank. There have been a few cases of accident." As this pamphlet is printed exclusively in English, and during the occupation of Japan (1945-1952) after WWII, it was mostly likely published for British or American State or military guests. Measures 7 3/4" x 4 3/4" (folded), 14" x 7 3/4" (unfolded). Age toning and soiling, crease marks. Seller Inventory # 29001340
