About the Author

Dr. Hamayan is Director of the Illinois Resource Center in Des Plaines, Illinois. She has also worked with administrators in program development, particularly in dual language schools. She has taught English as a foreign language, conducted research, and consulted with refugee programs and state boards of education, in addition to Pre K–12 schools.
