This 6.0 x 8.875 inch, 297 page hardcover book with dust wrapper is the stated - First Edition, Second Printing, March, 1962 - as shown on the copyright page. This copy shows the publisher as The Stackpole Company, Harrisburg, Pennsylvania on the title page and Military Service Pub. Co. on the cover spine. This copy is in near fine condition with just one condition issue reducing the condition from as new - - the two bottom corners show a distinct moderate bump with the impact leaving an evident result but with no influence to the text block. Beyond that this copy again is virtually as new - - with no signs of wear or damage to the grey-cloth covers - - with dark-blue title on front panel and spine. The interior text is again fine with no markings, handling wear or damage to note. This book provides a well-researched and in-depth look at the epic battle of Fredericksburg in December of 1862 with the text liberally sprinkled with photos, artists drawings, and maps to illustrate the text. The dust wrapper is in at least very good condition with light edge- and fold-wear - - and with four very light crinkles at the tops of the folds. The price has been clipped. 297 pages.
