Covers are scuffed/lightly soiled; rear cover has 1 x 3 inch of paper missing at top fore corner; rubbing wear at cover fore corners, boards exposed; remains tightly bound but somewhat fragile - easily readable; title page has numerous names in contemporary pen with some dates (1870, 1871); interior clean but for limited foxing.
