Nobel-prize-winning timeless love story set amidst the Russian Revolution, made into the unforgettable 1965 film starring Omar Sharif & Julie Christie. Orig. published in the US in Sept 1958, this is a later (Oct. 1959) printing of that First Edition, identical in all aspects. Hardcover 8vo (5.75" x 8.5") book has matte black cloth-covered boards with gilt lettering to front & red title box with gilt to spine. Condition is VG+: very clean, binding strong & straight, pages modestly tanned but completely unmarked. Mild soil to outside page edges. The unclipped DJ (with orig. $5.00 price intact) is VG-, with rubbing to extremities & chipping at lower spine. Old tape residue mark to lower edge of front cover, light soil.
