Several of his poems are written in a delightful Acadian-French dialect, part English, part French and part tongue-in-cheek. An example, from a poem entitled "Feeshin'": "T'ree summer touris' feller, Dunno nam' de House dey stay, Ax me I will tak' dem feeshin' In ma boat nex' day. I say "For sure, wit' pleasure, I will tak' you, mes amis' An we start out in de mornin', Hal-past' four, or mebbe t'ree."
