Tall 4to (13" x 8"). 92, 112, xiv pp. Gold and red decorated green cloth binding. Worn to edges. Corners bumped. Head and tail of spine bumped; 1 inch of spine missing, 1/3 detached. Joints starting to crack. Profusely illustrated with contemporary advertisements of local breweries and related ephemera (b&w). In back, facing pages of advertisements are facsimiles of lined notebook paper, dated 1910, allowing brewers to make notes regarding fermentation. Commercial ads on endpapers. Profusely illustrated with b/w photos, drawings and facsimiles. Many chemical charts and tables of gravity, alcoholic contents and correction of temperatures for the brewing process. Articles on "How to Make a Good Ale" and "brewing from the feminine point of view". Light water staining not effecting text. Overall, in fair condition. Seller Inventory # 9711
