Mass market paperback in raspberry and white soft card wraps, 175pp. 2nd pb printing (ist pr is 1942). Photo of Koestler to last page, ads. to obverse of wraps and facing title page, ad for Jif Shaving Stick to rear wrap. VG+. Wraps have light uniform rubbing with associate soil to soft card. Toning to spine with more moderate rubbing along hinges (which are still strong with no tears. Clean separation along upper half of spine, with all elements (binding, wraps) completely intact. Easily reparable but left to owner' discretion. pages mildly toned (surprisingly mildly given wartime stock paper), clean and unmarked. Seller Inventory # 004742
