Republished, with appendix. 86 pp. 25 x 19 cm. 22 illustrations. Gold-blocked blue boards, in good condition. Internally tight, bright, and clean. The dustwrapper is worn, with old repairs. First published in the North Down Herald, and later in book form c1890. Not reprinted since 1979, as far as we know. Illustrated dust jacket has sunning to edges, a few spots of staining, small chips to spine ends, 1" tear to front joint, bumping to edges, and a few short tears to head of rear cover. Ownership sticker to front pastedown. B&W photos throughout. "Daft Eddie, or the Smugglers of Strangford Lough" tells the story of the incredible activities of a wild band of smugglers who conducted a reign of terror around the shores of Strangford Lough in the early years of the 19th century.
