Publishers original pictorial decorated boards with girl (dorothy?) on front in Brown/red dress with tennis racquet. Some expected wear to boards mainly to spine folds and leading edge. Very minor and small stain mark to front. Xmas inscription 1921 to ffep (fly leaf). Hinges are satisfactory with just minor cracking starting at frontispiece. Slight cracking starting at page 220/221 intersection. There is however no significant straining with pages all intact and tight. All b/w plates there as far as we know. Pages are generally clean. Overall quite a nice sound copy of this old book. No Jacket. Bookseller Inventory # 001796
