A set of ten (10) uncut standing paper dolls of different cultural backgrounds in traditional dress with accompanying uncut animal paper dolls. Reinforces themes of international friendship and tolerance for American children. Housed in the original illustrated envelope. includes a leaf of directions, several original metal pins, and a leaf of color suggestions for each doll. Of note are the following directions for children regarding skin color: "Use cream paper for Spanish, Indian, Javanese, Chinese, Italian and Russian types; black for Papuan; white for Scotch and Swedish. Color faces, hands, and feet, light orange shaded with brown, using more brown for darker types". Nine (9) leaves of uncut paper dolls, including one printed in color, housed in original envelope measuring 12.25" by 9". Enclosed are several of the original metal pins for helping the dolls stand on their own. Very good. Toned, paper brittle. Envelope worn with short tears/chipping. Appears complete.
