A selection of 100 etchings by American artists active in 1930, including Edward Hopper, John Sloan, and Childe Hassam. Original etching ("Startled Ducks") by Frank W. Benson bound in as frontispiece, protected by parchment page. Laid in is a slip with Benson's name and title of the etching. Benson, an artist from Salem, MA, was noted for his realistic portraits, Impressionist paintings, watercolors and etchings, especially of ducks. Some rubbing to corners of boards, and some light rippling from water damage at extremities not affecting the images. Book plate of former owner, Amalia Sestero, pasted on to front board. Sestero was the wife of popular TV actor Allan Melvin. 4to. 100 pp. plus a list at the end of gallery members of the Art Dealers Association. Heavy for international shipping.
