The volume is bumped at the corners, has a small ownership sticker at the base of the front pastedown, and the pages have a gentle ripple as if stored in humid climate . The plain issued dust jacket, has a 2" "L" shaped tear on the spine and rear joint, a 3 1/2" tear on the rear fold and some lengthly creases associated with both.
