4to. vi, 398, [4] pp. Engraved frontispiece of Culpeper and his house in Spitalfields. With the 20 full-page plates, each containing 9 hand-coloured engravings. In an attractive designer half-binding, the light tan calf decorated cuir cisele and sides covered with a gold-heightened marbled paper with a panel inset into the front board. A very good early copy of this much-reprinted edition of the standard work. Usual foxing to frontis, first and last two text leaves supported on transparent tissue but a bright and clean copy overall. With a few manuscript additions in an attractive hand.
