Unusual book that concertina's out with images for A-Z. Designed and etched & originally published by George Cruikshank in 1936, this edition published by Arts Council. This is an interesting copy as it comes from the private collection of the the actor Paul Scofield. This is a copy given to him by the actor Peter Settelen who first met Scofield when he was in Uncle Vanya. There is an inscription from Settelen to Scofield on the back end paper. Paperback with some wear to the edges. Pages are clean and bright, page with Q is creased . Other books from Paul Scofield's private collection are also on sale through this book seller.
