This is an interesting copy as it comes from the private collection of the the actor Paul Scofield. Paul Scofield appeared in the Thames Televsion 1975 series 'Shades of Greene" based on these short stories. This was Paul Scofield's copy and is stamped 'Thames Television Information Section' on front free end paper with annotations by Paul on the contents page including a note in pencil 'stories for the series underlined'. A lovely dramatic association copy. In publisher's original green cloth binding with title in gilt on spine. Original unclipped dust jacket. Dust jacket is very good with minimal wear at the edges, a couple of tiny tears on top edge, spine and edges are light discoloured. Binding is fine. Pages bright and generally clean with a small stain on the front free end page, slight foxing to fore edge.
