Hard Cover. Near Fine/Near Fine. Black boards with gold stamping on spine. Jacket is pale yellow with black and white lettering. Book has mild rubbing, chipping to top edge, spine ends, and corners. Previous owner's name in ink on flyleaf. Inside clean and tight. Jacket mildly foxed, with general edgewear and a small chip to top of spine. All four flap edges are clipped. Edition unspecified; apparently not a first. The London drawing room of Edward and Lavinia Chamberlayne, whose marriage is breaking up, is the setting of all but one scene in the play.
