Printed by James Robins and Company. Not dated but circa 1825. First printed by James Stratford, 1810. Volume Six ONLY. . 8vo. Bound in full leather with gilt decoration of the boards. 584pp.Index, viii. Covering the East end, Hertfordshire, Essex, Middlesex, Mile End, Stratford, Walthamstow, Luton, Hatfield, St Albans, Barnet, Chiswick, Isleworth, , Hackney, Sadlers well, Pancras Wells, Islington, Enfield, Tottenham, Edgeware, Stanmore, Harrow, Hampton Court, Staines, Chiswick and Chelsea etc. This volume has an engraved frontis facing title page, engraved title page, forty-five copper engravings, plus wood cuts of churches within text. I am assuming this is complete. I have collated the book and the pages are complete. (Using the web site Jsic, the Stratford version has fifty-five engraved plates and 632pp. unfortunately details regarding collation for this volume is not available.) Among the full-page engravings are: Entrance to London at Mile End; Entrance to London at Shoreditch; Bengeo Church, with part of Hertford; Rye House, Herts.; Barnet; Column at Hadley, near Barnet; Waltham Cross; Tilbury Port; Waltham Abbey; Powder Mills, Waltham Abbey; Chingford; Woodford; Hackney; Entrance to London from Islington; Hornsey; Enfield; Trent Place; Little Stanmore; Harrow; Hampton Court Palace; Pittshanger, Great Ealing; Isleworth; Chiswick; Chiswick Gardens; Fulham; Chelsea Hospital; Military Asylum, ChelseaBoth boards are detached, spine holding but the leather has disintegrated on the spine. Inside title page and frontis heavily discoloured,but generally clean with some light foxing and discolouration due to age, some plates have foxing issue, but not all. Scarce.
