Second edition with the rather interesting tables of Hackney Coaches, Chairmen and Watermen rates included to the rear. Full leather binding rebacked and with new title label. Edges and faces scuffed. Binding firm. New pastedowns and endpapers. L.H.S of map 35 near-detached (Somersetshire); L.H.S of map 42 part-detached (Wiltshire); loss to outer margin of map 45 (South Wales) (map not affected); vertical tear to outer margin of map 17 (Gloucestershire) (map not affected). Some other leaves have slight detaching caused by the binding not quite catching the pages but will be fine assuming the book is not forced. Light periodic spotting and toning consistent with age. No colouring. No inscriptions. Maps dated 1742. List of places to the rear, followed by the detailed rates tables as previously mentioned. Double page title; double page dedication; chart of sea coast; map of England and Wales; map of the Great Roads; table of the High Roads; map of the principal Cross Roads; table of the Cross Roads; County Maps; lists of cities etc; rates' tables.
