A rare original full-colour propaganda poster from the height of the Chinese Cultural Revolution. 76cm x 52cm landscape format. Published in 1967. It depicts Chairman Mao Zhedong sitting in his trademark wicker chair. Text either side reads: "The revolution's central mission is to gain political power through arms ie to solve problems by waging war. The Marxist-Leninist principle of solving common problems by revolution is right, whether in China or in any other country. All the generals and soldiers of the People's Army cannot relax their determination to fight. Any relaxation of the mind and any underestimation of the enemy are both wrong." Condition: very good- plus with creases. Provenance: from a private Chinese collector in Nanjing. Seller Inventory # 004135
